Getting Lost

I spent the last week in new jersey and well even know I had a lot of things going on it was a nice vacation.
It wasn’t planned to be too much of a vacation but it turned out that after I finished up all of the anthem of hope stuff I spent 4 days at my parents house visiting them.  The day that I got to my parents house my cell phone stopped working.   And my parents only have 56k access to the net so web pages took like 3-4 minutes to load each page (I opted to not use it haha).

So my phone didn’t work and the 56k was super duper slow and I had no connection to emails, text messaging and phone calls.  I later stuck the sim card in one of my mom’s old phones to make some mandatory calls.

I enjoyed the fact that I could disconnect from the grid per-say and just enjoy family and friend.  Rather than having my attention constantly diverted with the technology I was just focused on whoever and whatever was around me… I got lost in whatever I was doing.   Conversations were deeper, spending more time with people became easier, the ability to just say "yeah lets do that" was even easier. 

Can we disconnect from the world and get lost in God?
Probably not completely until we’re taken on up to heaven but I feel like sometimes for a short moment I can be swept up in the beauty of God.  There is so many ways for God to create an atmosphere around us that just proclaim His Glory!  Sunrises, Rain, Music, Children, smiles, Miracles, Healing, Silenced Storms, and the list goes on.
I’m going to try to get lost in God more often    When it gets nicer outside I think I’m gonna have to take my bible to the park behind my house and leave my cellphone at home.
